Something I've always wanted to do: draw one of my Pokemon teams. This one (if you can't tell from Carrot thar's clothing) is from Crystal. In order clockwise, from the gengar: Nishiss, Vitik, Carrot, Lester, Quasar, Tchocky (reference ahoy), Tlal.
This may be the first thing I've actually worked on for days straight -- man, it feels like I haven't fucking posted in forever. I completely missed the look I was going for (smooth, nigh-realistic shading with outlines only where necessary), but then it turned into a for-me project rather than a shading exercise, so I'm happy with it. Hardest thing was probably getting them all arranged without obscuring too much of any one.
Been listening to this on and off, some absolutely colon three chiptuney dancy music with a synthesized Japanese girl singing. I'll probably rip all the audio when I feel like it, because I haven't been able to find mp3s of it. School is finally over for another three weeks, and I lost my scholarships, which means I won't have to factor that into any decision to move or drop out. The holiday season, and three people recently quitting/getting fired, means I'm getting a shitton of hours and am officially "reliable". It's been raining here, and cold enough to go outdoors without sweating balls. It's so good, man.
How are you guys?

I've been getting practically normal working days at my part timer, so the shock to the system has me dragging myself around on shorted sleep and probably catching that damn plague everyone ceeps talking about. If I had any social life I'd mention how the hours change affected it, but I'm a lulztard so it's all math with zero, easy easy.
You kinda colored outside the lines up there.

It looks like the trainer is resting her hand on the sandslash's eye. But, your concept of lighting has gotten better noticeably.
Also, sorry you lost your scholarships.:( You're not really thinking of dropping out, are you?
it's funny, because where I live, we just finished off a dry cold front--max of about 30 F during the day, and around 10º F at night.

If it turns out to be at all possible to stay enrolled but not take classes, that's what I'd do. Everyone I talk to is like "the first time you go to school is never for yourself," but I put up with that shit all through high school, and I'm not inclined to waste a decent chunk of another four years of my life floundering around with something I'm not in the slightest invested in. I'll go to college when I'm ready, damnit, and I'll pay for it my fucking self.
Unfortunately, it seems I'd have to wait until I'm 25 to get government aid to do so, since I don't stand a chance as long as they take my parents' upper-middle-class salaries into account, and it's kind of hypocritical to ask my parents for help two or three years down the road after refusing to go to school when they wanted me to.
Either way I'm taking a couple of classes next semester to make up the shitty grades, but at least I don't have to go full-time for scholarship monies. No matter what I decide on, the thought of not "having" to do this or that FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP11 is pretty liberating. :D
Also DAMNIT IT'S ABOVE HIS EYE T^T
His eye is supposed to be around where the outline of her sleeve cuff thing meets his face -- I mean, hidden, obviously. But I guess it does look a little weird.
