i actually really struggled with this one. i definitely think i've gotten underwater scenes down, but the surface is still a mystery to me. i think cuz the way i wanted to do it isn't exactly... possible? in real life? not sure.

well not INSTEAD, but i mean, i was going for a look where the body underneath the water was still visible, and water gets darker the deeper it is so the whole 'lake' should be really really dark, but that made it look like nighttime and i wanted it to be more cheerful... the way to do that would be sky reflections but then the body under the water wouldn't be visible... so just a lot of conflicting stufff.

Oh, do you use the 3D model system in Clip Studio Paint? I've heard about it, but haven't tried it myself yet despite mostly using CSP for sketching. 0:

ah, no. clip studio is too complicated for me, i use sai for drawing and sculptris for models. my friend keeps trying to get me to switch over but *shrugs* what i have works for me.
