wow love the light - I have to ask! How do you get that white bloom glow effect? I really really have tried to replicate it from game screenshots but there´s something missing.. is it a combo of hard and soft airbrush with layer mode setting like screen, color dodge, linear dodge? What brush opacity?

Paw lighting layers, in order from top to bottom
Big glow: Screen, 100% (used to make big glowy effect around fist)
Blue energy copy: Soft light, 100%
Blue energy: Screen, 25% (semi transparent, so it's not too overwhelming in the foreground)
There's also a "blue glow" layer set to 100% Screen for the energy streaming off her stripes and around her eyes, and two duplicate "blue lighting" layers set to 100% Overlay for the blue highlighting on her face.
As for brush settings, I usually work with a pretty low brush opacity - 1%-20%. Higher opacity means I'll get a bit of a rougher more texture edge while lower is smoother and more blended/airbrushy.
The "smoky energy" streaming out of her paws is mostly two-toned in colour - a darker blue and a brighter cyan.
