It's been two and a half years since I've updated this girl's design, so I drew her up a new ref sheet! More simplifying--I removed some markings, added a couple new ones, and put in some dark accents just for that extra oomph. (The markings on her knees are there solely so that I can kneel while I'm performing and not ruin perfectly nice, white knees. XD) And she's taller than me... just because I guess that's how I imagine her, idk!
Also, this was drawn pretty quickly--not super neat, mostly just so I have something to look at when I eventually make her new fursuit, haha!

*looks at my own owl character* ... I love how yours screams you've done research on owl facial structure! xD I'm totally taking notes from this. Thanks so much for sharing hahaha!
ANYWAYS! I love her design so much, I love how you can tell that the feathers add a bulkiness but it's soft--like with real owls. I can imagine her being featherless will look kind of scary I AM SORRY!!
Anyways, I like how you did the headshot on the bottom left. <3 It reminds me of the artistic styling from Owls of Ga'hoole movie, it's perfect. It's so realistic but has the personality and emotions in the eyes which we humans are most familiar with. And her facial expressions in both "posing" shots really show the gentle and reserved side of her personality methinks. She looks like a really quiet but intelligent individual. ;u;
I love the saturated blue contrasting with the paler browns, too, with the eyes.. blue + brown colour combination is always a win to me.
The fact that you kept the neck really thick is also a nice touch--IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!
It's longer than regular human and so thick and normally I would have thought that such a thing would look weird but you executed it perfectly! <3
The yellow speckles are a really cool addition outside of the more realistic owl colourations. It does add a nice warm glow, too, which I think we can really relate quite easily with fall <3 (well, at least the colours of the dying leaves hahaha!)
You really honoured the owl with this furrification honestly. This is 10/10! :'D

Aaah thank you so much for all your kind words! I was sort of screaming internally as I read this trying to figure out how to reply, haha ;; I still don't know if I can really phrase one, but I'm touched and honored that you enjoy this so much!
Yessss blue/brown is one of my favorite color combinations, too!
Now I AM imagining her featherless... that would be strange indeed. xD
