I've been a Sonic fan ever since I was little. I still remember the original design for Amy, who was actually referred to as Princess Sally in the manual for the US release of Sonic CD as a shameless plug for the then-new Saturday morning series. I actually have an emulator that'll let me play Sonic CD on my laptop. :P

Though one strange fact- In every game she's in, except for Sonic Riders, you can see her underwear. In Sonic Heroes, the CG cutscenes even show her dress hike up a touch to flash some white.

Am I a nerd? Yes. XD

Though I think it would be full of win if a picture of a Lakitu with a camera near ground level, recording video of an angry, embarassed Amy having her undergarments shown off to the world, possibly cursing the makers of her wardrobe was drawn. :)

Hm, I can't quite say this is your style, but then again the Sonic character style has always been rather distinct and makes it hard to actually break out without going off model. Also, I do happen to be a Sally fan, but that's mostly because Amy has yet to prove herself, for the most part she's been a pretty one dimensional character, chasing after Sonic and occasionally helping others while doing it (though just about everyone in the cast helps others). The real problem is that we haven't seen much in the way of character development, and combat wise, she's the Krillin compared to the other Sonic characters, simply dwarfed by the others and often ending up showing nothing spectacular and is left on the sidelines. Basically, Sega really needs to work on their characters, because it has been a LONG time since they've gotten any development whatsoever.

I don't think the comic is being made anymore. It is a shame, pining for the old days before Sega decided to just go by the Japanese story instead of actually trying some semblance of marketablility and simply merging the two.

Seriously folks, I'm not alone in saying we need the freedom fighters back, alongside some of the new cast?

... the Archie comic series is alive and well, started subscribing about a year ago.

I would like to see The Freedom Fighters (As well as Mammoth Mogul, Scourge, Lupe, Dr. Finvitus, and Rob o' The Hedge to name a few) in the games, but they'd have to totally retool everything surounding them to put them in the games at this point. At the least they could toss Sally and Bunnie into the Sonic Riders games as casual characters though.

The thing is, given the direction the games have been going, they might as well just put in an overhaul. It's the only way the series could recover at this point.

Bah. I've not played Sonic 360 or Unleashed but in general I still enjoy the Sonic games. I actually get quite tired of the complaining. Sonic Adventure 2 is top 2 material for best Sonic game, no lie. And, for a side story, Sonic and the Black Knight was great (multi-player aside, THAT was awful.)

If Archie and Sega did a an alternate series that would be excellent and they could keep to the comic story. It'd be a boon for both- lots of comic subscribers and lots of interest in the game for Sega.

this is very cute! really in my opinion the only important thing is getting the face recognizable,the rest can be in ones style and produce interesting results.

It's pretty darn on model Mabby, trust me, I'm a pretty big Sonic fan.

Even if it wasn't on model, it's interesting to see different versions of the Sonic gang.
