A commission for
Kincademk. Every image i do with this style of coloring keeps getting better and better. I would be lying if i said i wasn't excited about doing more commissions like this one.
There are more like this to come so hang in there. ^.^

Amen to what Bonk said above, but I'd also suggest rephrasing that statement you made, rather than "Gah wish I can color this good one of these years", say, "Gah, one of these years I WILL color this great!".
Say it declaratively, that you will conquer it, and odds are that you're determination will follow through and make it happen.
If you say "I wish", or "I could never", or "I can't", or "I hope", you have already defeated yourself before you have even tried! What good is that? Instead say "I will", and then go for it, make it happen.
And I say all this because I hate when I see people defeat themselves, rather than move on further with their work, when all it takes is a fresh mindset.

I have looked at artist all my life pushing hard to be as good as they are. The truth is. No matter how good you may get you will always see something someone else has done and want to be as good as that. This is good because it will push you to keep growing. Never be satisfied but always be proud.
That is a piece of his armor. You can see it better in this pic. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/3168855/ I'm glad you like my work!
I love your combination of simplicity (in forms) with detail (in the coloring). I also love when you do clean work, probably cause I'm not distracted from your craftsmanship! ;3
I'm curious, how do you do your coloration method? Is it a combo of custom brushes and design overlays with masking? Am I seeing that correctly?

i actually use the brushes in photoshop. I have some custom brushes but i usually just use the #19 gradient brush (set to 40 opacity and 35 fill). You can find it just b4 the airbrushs. I use texture and treat the image they way i would if i were traditionally painting it. I don't use masks at all. I also tend to use as few layers as possible. For example. I have a line art layer, Color layer, Gradient layer, 30% color flats layer and a back ground layer. I hope that helps.
In a story I have there is this anthro Paladin named Brocken shao Te, He looks some what similar to this guy except he was a different breed of Dog whos name tapered i cant remember what it was called Ironically it has hair bangs like your drawing lol. Anyways, when he hits 18ish he thought he was cursed with a plauge similar to lepresy. He couldn't be healed, later on he discovered he was half dragon (mothers side) and that he was changing, but he was dieing because it wasn't progressing smoothly. Basically he becomes a full dog/dragon hybrid after a big adventure seeking his mother's (the dragon) aid. This picutre reminded me of that story, I never fully wrote. Maybe ill go back and continue it.
Dude, this looks awesome. I love the sword especially, and the character looks really cool too. The shading is great, colours are beautiful... All-around, this is damn good.
However, after looking at his assorted accessories, I find myself compelled to do the following...
"Hmph. . . I am ze doktor, undt ze mortician . . . undt ze janitor. . . Du hast nossingk to vorry about..."
"Okay...but...w..what's the sword for..?"
*Grabs the smaller man by the collar and lifts him off his feet, into the air.* "I said...NOSSINGK...to vorry about..."
