Some really crap sketches of what I've decided is my persona. He's strong, fat beetle monster that serves as an anointed guard to a temple. The religion it's under is similar to Shinto. It's more so a loose collection of ideals and philosophies than strictly worshiping a god. Beetles and insects are strongly associated with it, as they symbolize strength and endurance in hard times.
He's big, but he's not dumb. Often softly spoken. Although the housing and food the temple he offers are great he finds himself questioning its practices silently, often wondering what even is his place in this system. Still, he's a symbol of the community and the temple and gets along well enough.
