FCN 2010 Sketchbook commission for Earl McClaw

He designed some rather interesting critters that are... sort of like gryphons, without the wings. There's apparently feline and canine based species, and a whole lot of backstory on their abilities and behaviors. I love critter design, so I was thrilled to get to work on this for him.

I did't base this on any particular raptor; not all of his cat-bird creatures are carnivorous, but I liked the idea of a jungle hunter seeing something up in a tree, smelling the air to see if the edible treat was reachable or not.
