I made an avatar for
bear-paws. The original model and original texture were created by another artist. My work consisted of...
- fixed texture seams and alignment issues
- increased the triangle count by 5 times to give me more vertices to work with for body deformation
- set creases and sharps
- reworked the plate scales to be bigger and single-sided to save triangles
- removed NSFW parts
- added loincloth geometry and texture
- reworked mouth and tongue geometry and textures
- reworked fins/frills to better match reference (new geometry and textures)
- rigged for VRChat Full Body Tracking (FBT) support
- added rigging for tail, belly, loincloth, and pecs
- repeatedly tweaked rig to fix problems introduced by Avatar 3.0
- implemented pec bouncing animation
- created fat and muscular shape keys
- created happy, sad, angry, shocked, blinking, look up, and look down shape keys
- implemented speech visemes
- configured VRChat avatars (2.0 version and 3.0 version)
- configured expression menus for body build, facial expressions, and animation clips
- implemented collision for the loincloth and legs
- implemented collision for the belly and legs
There was no detail sculpting or normal maps created for this model -- they were already provided. I learned a lot with this project and the result is one of the most unique avatars out there. I'll be producing even more avatars in the future.

Thanks! Yeah, there's a lot to do. It takes a long time to make an avatar. However, future avatars should go a little faster since I now understand more about Avatar 3.0 and the way to go about implementing things.
I'm currently updating my personal avatar and working on one for Arthro. I can give you a poke about a potential avatar commission when those projects get close to completion. I very much like working on dragons, lizards, dinosaurs, and similar beasts. >^.=.^<

Yeah I barely even understood 2.0 and now we have 3.0, some say it's alot better, some say it's not, I say it's still new!
Awesome! I am interested and will wait for your poke!
ACTUALLY I don't know if I showed you or not, whenever I showed other 3D artists the character they all said it's impossible to work on,

I don't particularly like the changes to the skeleton. The new humanoid skeleton doesn't let you move around bones the way you used to be able to. Humanoid appears to be all about full body tracking now. Not sure how the other skeletal options are in terms of implementation complexity.
I also recall your character. You had mentioned this to me in the past, and that body shape is definitely doable. I think a lot of artists are just unfamiliar with how to handle a non-standard or non-human-proportioned shape. Rigging and animating just takes some extra work and planning. The automated tools that are popular today won't get the job done, so you have to understand the fundamentals. Very doable!

Thanks for the flash conversion. I figured re-tweeting you in a journal will do in my case, as I'm ready for the obsolescence of Flash already at my end.
It gives me much more freedom to express moods related to size, lets me entertain and mingle with various size folks in VRChat much more comfortably! Just pleased as punch~

I think my commercial video converter (VideoProc) does do FLV conversion, so I likely can do that with Kobuld's animation, e.g. MP4 is so much more universal, so I'm waiting for FA to add that format. Granted MP4s aren't interactive, can't code games - maybe we need Unity packages for gaming purposes!
