Not sure why this wasn't uploaded. This is from November of last year, I guess I just forgot to put it up? Strange..
Anyway, here it is.

Interesting mixture of national characteristics.
I would almost have called it Bulgarian, Yugoslavian or a similar eastern European uniform of anywhere from the 1920s to the 1960s, based on the decorations.
The skull and crossbones collar badges make me think 19th century German-(Or British 17th lancers.) They are a common motif that began in the Napoleonic wars. (Earlier than that in some of the German states.)

My specialty in military history was uniforms and weapons, when I was studying it in earnest.
I can geek on like this forever, but I'll stop now.

Skull and crossbones were never used in this manner on SS uniforms.
The basic 4 pocket tunic design was created by Herman Goering in the 1920s or30s when he was the pre-eminent men's fashion designer in the west; and widely copied with local variations added in many countries for national uniforms.
I used to make uniforms for re-enactors about 10-12 years ago, and had tons of reference books and pieces of original uniforms, as well as having handled countless uniforms of all types when I made most of my living working gun and militaria shows.
The pentagonal flashes look familiar to me- I just can't place them offhand, having not been active in that community in around 10 years.
And I would prefer we not turn Casey's gallery into a flame fest, or long debate thread.
If you would like to continue a polite discussion of the details, please PM me.
