Is this for an original project or something? Because I have to say this looks very interesting right now! The design is very original, yet still grounded enough that we as the viewer can relate to it relatively well enough, especially well and good since these guys were designed by humans and as a result would have a rather Earth-ecological-centric view on how their engineered species would look like! So yes I absolutely love what you have, really like your art style too and would love to see more of this!
But I have to ask! What do you mean by it being an avatar for a human? Is it like a direct neural connection type situation where there's a human operator working remotely and is initiating alien social interactions via the utilization of this animal as an intermediary (for either environmental or social reasons?)? Or is it more of a like, transformation type thing? I'd love to know more about this as it's clear there's a lot of lore underneath here! :D
