I wonder how the hell you got the tail on there! This is one of the best fakes I've ever seen. <3

To make the tail, I copied the middle of the rabbit, flipped it, rotated it 45 degrees, cleaned it up a bit with the clone tools, and then used the liquefy tool to mold the fur to fit the shape and direction of the tail. Then I created a mask from that, and used the smudge tool with one of the spray brushes to create furry edges in the mask, before readusting the contrast of the mask to give a sharp transistion between solid and transparent regions.

I'm actually not super happy with how the tail came out, and I think if I had to do it again, I'd have found a fox tail or something in similar lighting conditions and worked from that. Because of how much work I had to do on the tail it came out more painterly looking than the photorealsim of the rest.

Btw, I made the ears long and pointy like that using the liquefy tool as well. That was much easier than the tail.

Heh, I got older and busier. :3 If I ever manage to find some free time I'm sure I'll post some new stuff eventually. Probably other people's art I've colorized though, as I've never been terribly good at drawing!
