This was a sketch I did for the awesome and wonderful rooth at Anthrocon 2009.
I am so so happy that I finally remembered to ask for a scan, because this was the piece that opened up dragons for me. They'd always been something I struggled with; I didn't really understand the anatomy, I couldn't make them look good... it was really frustrating. But while working on this, I had one of those 'AHA!' moments, and everything clicked.
So even if I didn't like the person that commissioned it (and I do, see above), I would have a special fondness for this piece because of the artistic enlightenment it brought.
