SOME SHIT WENT DOWN AT THE BRASS TOWER
AND THEN THERE WERE DOGEZ. Or kitties. Kitty-doggies.
Okay fiiiinally finished the trio today with Raikou. I had drawn Suicune and Entei a week or two ago in-between work on Shark Attack to keep myself sane, and then finished Raikou today when the internet was out.
I drew them all separately so they all turned out a bit different stylistically but AH WELL. What's important is that I had fun and like the turn out. I experimented with a new way to do cell shading that is much faster than what I was doing before, yay.

Thank ya :D I tried to make raikou look fluffy and tiger-y, and tried to make the blue part of his muzzle as...not mustache-like as I could xD; Renard keeps saying he looks like Wilford Brimley jahskfjsa
Aahah, I love pokemon "theories," especially the really off-the-wall ones, like some one on DA was trying to convince me Entei was originally a digimon and game freak just bought the rights to the design and you "can tell because of the ankle cuffs" ahah

This is just sooo fantastic I can’t put it into words :D I swear you draw pokemon so perfectly it seems effortless. They are always so badass and fierce that if they were real and I ran into one I would assuredly be killed instantly lol
I really like the fact that they were drawn at different times. Their differences stylistically blend well. I see no clash whatsoever
And the keywords HAHAHA! Lol

The fact that they were drawn individually actually works quite well in this case. The difference in styles helps to define the separation between each of them, as they are all different beasts with their own personalities and abilities.

As I recall, I'd learned that Entei was based from a lion, Raikou from a tiger and Suicune a wolf. I find it a lot simpler, though, just to refer to them as the legendary dogs or beasts.
This is a purely brilliant representation of the three. As well, the stylistic approach you made gives each a perfect touch of uniqueness.

I hadn't played my crystal in almost a year. I found it in a drawer and started it up.
When I started the game I was standing right in front of Suicune.
The first thing I did as soon as I battled it was throw a pokeball. I didn't even attack it or anything.
Caught it. First try......with a pokeball.
And I'm especially excited because I played silver today, for the first time in YEARSSS!!!
