ok....voolvif is considered loose cannon jedi master. basically, he ahs a very very short fuse. and since it's a treat of his race, it does not affect his connection to the light side of the force. basically, he can do things no ther jedis can...he is kinda like a semi domesticated wolf. he is very calm, but he still carries fangs and claws.

In the 1977 translation of episode IV they translated light saber as "Laserschwert" - "Laser-sword". In the 1982 translation of episode V and VI they used "Lichtschwert" and in 1999 up to 2005 they used Laserschwert again. But in the comics they kept "Lichtschwert". I prefer it that way. Saber actually is tranlated as Säbel in german
Even when you've got your prisoner firmly restrained when your prisoner happens to be a Shistavanen, it's probably best not to make disparaging remarks or taunt them any more than it would with Wookiees. Though they might not be aggressive unless provoked, I don't think they'd be a species likely to show you mercy if you'd truly angered them.
If Voolvif wasn't a Jedi, I imagine if he had gotten free it would have been a rather painful and traumatic experience for the Neimoidians.
