I love how he took your glasses (and everything else!) He's so pudgy! You look delightfully smug in the first panel.
...Now I'm imagining a dark world where if Trait Theft existed, would a leader of a university eat the brightest of the graduating class? (To get even smarter of course!)
Or a brighter one: a warrior culture where, if a warrior is gravely wounded but not killed, is eaten to pass on their legacy!
...This was a weird tangent. Sorry! I was an inch away from deleting my rant portion, but maybe you'll like to hear my chaotic thoughts. Magbe I'll make a story with these to make up for that. (If these aren't dead troupes in the trait theft community!)

In fact, I requested for Sini in the first panel to look "smug and slightly drunk, not actually drunk, but drunk with arousal." So, that's how it got drawn, and that's a spot-on analysis. XD
Probably, yeah. In a dark world, those who can steal traits from others would become deities of some sort. If they could steal a limitless number of attributes, the societies of that world would become volatile very quickly with the drastic shifts of power, not just regarding individual thieves, but the dynamics of power in a world like that.
Maybe 50 stealable traits per individual: The exact number is flexible and testable, but... having a high ceiling on how many traits could be taken could create a wild yet survivable world.
However, trait theft limited to like, say, 3 or 4 stealable traits could result in, like you said, respectable leaders or clans in smaller groups of society.
But yeah, decimal points are kind of serious when it comes to numbers like these. The difference between a million and a billion, for example, seems superficial to most of us; but you look at multibillionaires in our society who sit on that money that could have otherwise fed countless children, homeless and veterans and then you realize it does make a veritable difference.
Likewise, the difference between someone who can steal say, 500 traits and 5,000 could be catastrophic. At one ceiling, you allow for gods. At another, you allow for world-ending catastrophes like Ark-drowning floods, off-the-richter earthquakes, mountainous walls of locust swarms. But also too, then arises the question of who becomes a "god." A world could just be very unlucky in that its thieves are immoral or simply chaotic as fuck, and then you don't need a high ceiling/limit to how many traits can be taken for a catastrophe.
It's a cool Pandora's box to open. I feel that, from one approach, a society of thieves could follow the model of a superhero and villain laden society.
But on another, it could be more like a bunch of minor deities, a few majors. A few monsters like titans who wreak havoc upon the heavens and earth.
But then you could also just end up with one single thief, one authoritarian god; and in that case, you had best hope they're a benevolent authoritarian who's all like, "Thou shalt not get tattoos for thine own good," versus, say, one who says, "Thou shalt sacrifice thy brother at thine altar for my nourishment."
I dunno, dude. This was a really big Pandora's box you just opened. I mean, how many thieves are there? How does one become a thief? What are their moral alignments? Is the status of thievery permanent? Are traits taken permanent? How many can one have? Stories based on this idea could go north, south, west or east depending on the set-up tbh. It's cool to think about.
I like the idea of Sini being able to absorb attributes being canon, but I can't decide on a limit (and most of my worldbuilding shit not getting done always revolves around me not being able to decide on things x) ). Though, he does strike me as, at best, a minor god.

P.S. There's not really a trait theft community that I'm aware of, alas. :P
There's a telegram chat for size and attribute theft, but it's mostly just horny people sharing pictures, roleplaying and playing dice games.
Maybe in some other fandom there is. But in furry, trait theft is so eccentric a trope in itself that I wouldn't consider any concepts within it dead? X)

Yeah, but hey, the more I share my enjoyment of the kink, the more I see people eager to engage in it as well, so its underdog status isn't a done deal. I'll have more people to nerd out about it with in a couple years, no doubt...
That's a possibility! The more traits you have, the more certain aspects of a thief diminish in prevalence. At the end of the day, you have to divvy up a pie into several pieces, not all of which are equal... But still, don't underestimate the size of that pie. o:
