note: He may swap fire fang for iron head depending on his opponent and if he is staying in his normal form. If he chooses to use his mega form, he will pick fire fang regardless. (I'll show why in the future)

Bio:
Markus is a kind hearted mawile that currently lives with the Redfield family. He’s considered to be the adopted son of the family. He is mostly recognized for his friendly and relaxed personality. However, despite his easy-going personality, some tend to get the wrong impression of him at first due to his background when he was younger

He took an interest in hand-to-hand fighting styles and practices them often at his nearby gym. This has given him quick reflexes in battle and prefers to fight with his fists rather than his maw. That’s not to say he won’t use it if he sees an opportunity however. He also doesn't seem bothered to lose in a match as he's mostly doing it for the thrill and opportunity to become stronger.

The most notable traits when it comes to appearance is his hair, thighs, and maws. Having short but spikey hair. His thighs are quite wide as well. However, he doesn’t like talking about them and hates the attention they bring at times. Due to living a very rugged lifestyle, he doesn’t care too much about his appearance. He’ll wear torn jeans often and avoid wearing anything fancy looking. The maws also have an overbite, which covers the teeth that are located on the bottom jaw. The maw is quite docile and only acts aggressive when in combat.

Markus currently works inside a gym along with Sydney. He works as a personal trainer there for anyone who wants to get in shape or reach certain goals. During his breaks he’ll be with Sydney in a more secluded spot. Before they leave, they'll do a bit of training as well and even have a couple of sparring matches. When they finish, the two usually go and relax at their favorite café that's between their work and home.

Story:
He lived a poor lifestyle in Lumiose city along with his mother early in his life. He never met his father and his mother would refuse to talk about him. Markus has a very strain relationship with his mother, as she doesn't seem to care much about him and spends most of her time drinking and bickering about things.

Markus often sneaks away to watch back-alley fights and other unofficial battles as he has developed an interest in them. He often practices boxing at his nearest gym since he likes hand to hand fighting styles. As he got older, he would participate in those fights for prize money. He won a good amount of his matches and the money he obtained overtime from the fights would help him and his mother get through the days. Eventually he would meet another mawile in the ring named Sydney. Both were surprised to see another mawile who’s fighting style was focus on their fists rather than maws. The match lasted awhile that they eventually had to call it a draw. The two had great respect for each other after the fight and became good friends afterwards. Markus was then approached by a few gang members that were with Sydney, watching the match. Impressed with his fighting style, they offered him a spot in their group.

By this time, his mother has already left him and was struggling to sustain himself, so he would agree to joining the gang. They would often commit robbery and other jobs from unknown individuals or organizations. Markus and Sydney were often seen together and teased by other members for it. While most members were here for the money, they did seem to enjoy doing what they did. Sydney admitted to Markus that she's only in the gang for the money as her family was in a financial situation and despises the things she had to do to earn it. Markus felt the same, but he had no alternative given his situation. Despite working together with the gang on jobs and other tasks, the two only trusted each other and were looking for a way out.

Later on, the jobs they were being given become more dangerous and the gang's tactics became more brutal. Markus didn't like the direction the gang was heading and neither did Sydney. Eventually the leader of the gang along with a few others were caught by authorities after a job went south and the gang slowly started breaking apart. Markus, along with Sydney and few others saw this as an opportunity to leave. However, having nowhere else to go, Markus found it difficult to survive alone in the streets.

His situation got more desperate and was exhausted overtime. However, he would later be confronted by another mawile. Her name was Caroline and admitted she was looking for him. The two had a small conversation and Caroline later would convince Markus into following her home. Caroline heard about Markus from Sydney and seeing how close he was to her daughter; she wanted to help him and offered him a place to stay. By this time, their financial situation was getting better with the help of Linda who recently met and befriended Caroline and offered her a better job.

Caroline took care of Markus and showed him much love, which surprised him as he never experiences any of it from his real mother. They would develop a mother-son bond and Markus would later grow to becoming a much better person than he was. He also got to meet Natalie, who is Sydney's younger sister. She was quite nice to him and the two also develop a sister-brother kind of bond. Markus and Sydney would later open up their feelings to each other and are now in a relationship.

Relationships:

Caroline- He looks up to her as the mother he always wanted to have and loves her as so, he’ll even call her “mom” at times Caroline would also refer to Markus as her son. Later on, Caroline would develop more affectionate feelings towards Markus but tries to keep those feelings a secret.

Sydney- The two care deeply about each other and are currently in a relationship. Sydney may act tough and reserved in public, but whenever she's with Markus, she shows a very soft side of her. She can be quite protective of him and will snap at anyone who tries to touch him. Markus loves how she can be a sweet gentle person (She's only like that towards him) and also be intimating and a fierce fighter. Dangerous women are his type haha

Linda Sapphire- Being a close friend to Caroline, Linda eventually met Markus and the two got along well. She acts very motherly towards him, similar to Caroline and finds him cute. She often invites him to hang out by the beach or at her home and even lets him along with the rest of the Redfield family come to her hot spring resort free of charge.

Natalie- The two have a brother-sister like bond. Natalie can be quite the tease at times similar to how she does towards Sydney and Nathan. Markus doesn't mind it and occasionally does the same to her.

Eva- At first, Markus was a bit scared of Eva due to her personality while Eva was cautious of Markus due to his background. Although he is still somewhat cautious of her, they have become more trusting of each other

Nathan- The two often like to have friendly competitions with each other in many things. Always trying to best one another in anything. Apart from that, the two have become good friends.

Tatiana- A close friend of Sydney, she would later meet Markus and the two became great friends. They both liked to battle, and she would hang out with him and Sydney every now and then. Tatiana does end up having a crush on Markus and may playfully flirt with him from time to time. However, she knows not to take it too far.

Geez this took a while. I've been wanting to redesign Markus for some time now. His lore fits better as a mawile than a human. I left it as flat colors since it's a reference sheet. I'll eventually do one for all my ocs but that'll be a bit further down the road.
I may also update this overtime as I build up the backstories of my other ocs.
