The pale city twisted and turned beyond reality whenever the citizens TV's were on. Except one place, the very man's home who made others life miserable through his powers. No house or apartment were safe from the terrifying and twisted nightmare. Except one home, the Thin Man's , as other call him had no trouble with anything in his home. He even held back his own powers and there was a reason.
His little son, Mono was terrified of the world. So young and innocent. The man would do anything for his only son, even turn the whole city upside down if anything would happen to him.
Or atleast this was all in Mono's view. He was small, even smaller than his classmates. Or used to since he doesn't attend school anymore. His father decided to teach him home by different teachers. The truth is , that Mono suffers from anxiety and body dysmorphia since he was born. There are no mirrors or any reflecting items in the home. Since that, he wears a paper bag over his head and this view breaks the heart of his father.
This happened everytime when he quiestioned Mono's actions.
" Dinner's ready!" The tall man yelled from the dinner room, as he put down the full plates on the table. Small steps from above could be heard as they quickened towards the stairs. Even quicker on the stairs, suddenly a small child appeared at the bottom of it. Hesitating to come to the table.
" Come, come. It's something you would like." The adult said, as he patted a chair, with a towering books on it. The child hurry to the chair and put his hands in the air waiting to be lifted. And so, it happened, the man picked up the child and put him on the chair. This child was named Mono, his father named him because he was the only one boy, the only child he ever had.
When they both seattled at the dinner table, the food was steaming and the tall man reached for the newspaper next to the plate. Mono's face was not visible still from the paper bag on his head but still, his father could see the dissapointment.
" What's wrong, little one?" He asked as he only took his eyes off from the paper just a moment. Mono didn't awnser, just put more food in his mouth while only slightly moving the paper bag. The man sighed and put down his paper.
" Why don't you take that off? You're home. Noone would make fun of you!" He said with some fustration in his tone. Mono stopped and looked away in embarresment, he knew that he can take off the bag. But he wouldn't do it. The man again sighed and take back his newspaper, and said.
" Eat your greens too, it will make you stronger."
