The Order of Scribes take their spellbooks even more seriously than the Wizards of other orders. Imbuing the collections of their spells with a semblance of life and personality, their manuscripts become companions as treasured as their own familiars. Granting their creators a mastery over ink and scroll that no other school can match, for theirs is the magic of the written word.
Originally a Cleric, the untimely death of his God stripped Thutesi of his powers... leading him to the study of Wizardry and his eventual mastery over the Telekinesis spell. The idea of mind over matter, of willpower and discipline overcoming the limitations of the physical world, seemed to him like the purest expression of knowledge as power. Beginning with levitating books, he worked his way up to heavier objects... with time honing his signature spell to the point where the pyramids themselves would rise into the air at his bidding.

Madness_demon, I was inspired to continue the theme of Signature Spells for the D&D incarnations of my characters, as represented in a style reminiscent of the Deck of Many Things. :D As usual Maddy did an absolutely fantastic job! And now two of my three main characters have 5th level spells to call their specialty... if I want to keep the theme going, I'll need to decide on one for my vampire.

The five of pentacles represents financial and poverty, being hit by hard times especially when it comes to your work, career, finances, and material possessions.
The Five of Pentacles reversed indicates an end to difficult times, and discovering of a new line to hold yourself up in.
If anything, this is the perfect card for Thutesi and everything he's gone through. this art is simply beautiful and looks magnificent~
