On this and the previous track I uploaded, I tried a new technique for inputting MIDI notes into FL Studio. Rather than being lazy and using my keyboard, I decided to have a go at using my electric guitar - yes, you read correctly: a guitar - as a MIDI device. To achieve this, I used a plugin that converts pitch from any audio input, to MIDI notes. Later, I went back and made corrections using the good old mouse and keyboard. With the exception of the Oberheim DMX rhythm, both the DX7 guitar and bass tracks were generated using only the guitar and a 10-watt guitar amp set with the Overdrive setting switched off, fed into my computer's headset jack using a splitter that combines the headphone output with the microphone input, into a four-conductor headphone plug.
