Weiss Vhernia is a haruspex of Capon ancestry, majoring in Education at the Observatorium. She's currently assigned off-site to the Esper Sanctuary in the French countryside. She acts as the Esper Sanctuary's teacher, guardian, and designated adult when its more senior members (Melissa, Vektra, Teddy, and later the Fan Twins) are out doing other business.

She's also a long-time friend of Mags and Rigel by virtue of being a resident of Traverse for most of her childhood, though she does personally enjoy her current digs in the little Esper village built in the ruins of an abandoned sugar factory.

Her little familiar, a biomechanical liver-squid named Haruka, allows her to practice her Fortune Telling magicks without having to repeatedly slay a sacrificial animal for its guts.
