It is a common and firm belief among the bloodline beget by Lang Zhi from that each generation of Langren is destined to be led by the Yin Xue; the Child of Silver Snow. Whether by unlikely genetics or true divine intervention, each great Langren leader in across the ages of Asia has inheritted Zhi's silver fur and snow white hair. In the late 20th century, Zhi's descendant Lang Wen ascended to such a mantle at a young age and inheritted its duties. One of which was to continue the instruction of his generation in the House of Lang's traditional martial art, Tai Lang Quan.
To graduate, each student would face the master in duel after a decade of training to gauge what they've learned. Though no student had ever managed to overcome the master, judgement was fair and failure was rare. In his first year as a teacher, Wen was surprised by a class of his peers when one student not only held her own in her graduation duel, but managed to actually defeat him. The final irony was the student herself... a she-wolf with snow white fur and silver hair. Huang Yun; the daughter of the village priestess and the local archivist.
Falling both to and for this prodigy, Wen believed their meeting to be orchestrated by fate. Impressed and hopelessly smitten with Yun, Wen offered to train her further in his family's techniques of their discipline. The two bonded over their time together, becoming equals in skill and one in spirit. Before long, Yun would gratefully take Wen's family name as the two proclaimed their love to the world and vowed to face the life's trials, side-by-side for as long as they both should live. After years of marital bliss, the two wolves would become three.
