And now making his debut in the lovely little town of Densville, USA, it’s... me?
Yup, this piece is actually inspired by yours truly if I were a ‘kemonomimi’ like the previous Masami or Marilyn. I’ve been on such a kick with Stepford-esque content that I began to wonder how I might fit into the setting, and after a transformation piece that a friend of mine drew up (which you can find right here: https://www.deviantart.com/gaminglover/art/Several-Elegantfication-MtM-Sequence-878599722), we settled on the notion that I’d be a newspaper cartoonist, always bringing a slice of laughter and merriment to this little suburb.

Originally the name was Felix Sanderson (feline with a sandy-blonde fur coat), but I opted later to change it to something closer to a serval’s latin name, ‘leptailurus serval’ (“Lewin” also means a “dear friend”, too!). Though I typically prefer shades of blue, I wanted Lew to have a distinct feeling as a persona of mine, so I opted for more earthy, golden shades in his suit, and later added pinstripes for that extra sense of quirkiness. He’s not quite the typical “strong breadwinner” type you might expect from Stepford stories, but I enjoyed working with his more tall, lean figure to show a youthful charm to his character. For the most part, I think it worked out ^-^
