jim, the father of james, mora and mozart and husband of alice.

when jim was a child he met riki, the soon to be leader of the ohu army, and his father, shiro, while jim and his parents, jara and rin, were on a trip to japan in the mid 60s and they become friends. years later after he returned to america, he enrolled in the NYPD and soon became one of the best known police officers. it was around this time that he met two brothers, mikami and tomek. he soon meets the parents of the brothers, oruka and marika.
in the late 70s, he was assigned to investigate a corrupt businessman named stocke who is currently running for president. jim looked through documents, newspapers, audiotapes, videotapes and film reels of stocke's interveiws. he discovers that stocke not only was corrupt but he was also a fascist.

one day, while taking a break from the investigation, he goes for a jog in the city. it was then that he sees two thugs harassing a japanese akita girl in an alley. jim manages to stop the two thugs and save the akita girl. jim introduces himself to the girl and
she tells him that her name is Narumi, however jim couldn't pronounce it so they decide on alice for an english name. jim takes her to her house which was in a penthouse. jim soons meets alice's parents, Kiniro and Kaze. both jim and alice soon fall in love with each other.
over the days, jim discovers that kaze is the ambassador for japan, however he is having a difficult time with stocke as stocke is trying to accuse him of war crimes which he did not commit. jim puts two and two together and realises that stocke might be attempting to drive america and japan into war.

with the information he needed, jim informs his higher ups and tells them of the situation. with all the evidence, jim and a squad stormed the mega-corporation building. stocke attempted to bribe jim, but jim, being a non corrupt cop, smacks the money out of stocke's hand and arrests him for attempting to drive america and japan into war and attempted bribery. the event was televised throughout the country and the world. a few days later, after a lot of publicity, it was then that jim annouced a press conference. at the conference, he announced that he was retireing from the police force. after the conference, he proposes marriage to alice. alice accepts his proposal. they were soon married and traveled to japan by plane. jim's police force arrived at the airport to see jim and alice off for their new life together.

after jim and alice arrive to japan to start a new life together, jim goes to see riki and shiro. he discovers from a grieving fuji and a young teenage gin, that shiro and then riki, were killed by a demon bear named akakabuto. jim was shocked and then saddened by the loss of his friend. he returns to his home to inform his wife the sad news. however jim finds that alice is pregnant with their first child, a girl that they soon named mozart.

two months later, he discovers mikami and tomek in a ruined house, where they explain to him that a man named nicholai framed them for the murder of their parents. jim believes them and he tells them that he will help them on certain conditions that while they work for him, they both do their missions separately. that way it will make their innocence more easily clear.

a couple of years later, while alice was pregnant with another child, jim received a strange visit from two great danes named ben and great, who offered to recruit him for their army. jim however declined as he has to look after his pregnant wife and his young daughter. however the meeting intrigued him.

after the birth of mora, jim hears that gin and john disappeared, which was around the time that akakabuto was making his fortress at futago pass. jim decides to investigate this despite alice's pleadings for him not to go.
in the forest near futago pass, jim met up with mikami who just fought a bear named madara. jim went on, only to get attacked by a bear but he managed to kill it with his rifle. he was then saved from another bear by a mysterious man, who jim recognized as riki, however riki didin't recognize him. riki tells jim that akakabuto was sending bears to attack riki and offers jim another chance to join the ohu army, but once again jim declined as he has a family to look after. riki and jim part as allys. jim returns home and tells alice that riki is alive but has amnesia.

a couple of months later, alice tells jim that they're having another child. it was around this time that the ohu army has commenced with the battle with akakabuto's army. jim watches the battle on tv with alice. they witness riki's death and the triumph of the ohu army. a few months later, alice give birth to a boy. they named him james.

8 years later, james went missing during a game of hide and seek with mora and mozart, the family searched through the woods until they found the signpost for the ohu army territory. jim deduces that they are near the futago pass border. it was then that mozart found a small bit of blood on a rock as well as a peice of fabric from jame's trousers. they also discovered a set of footprints leading away from the enbankment. they follow the footprints until they arrive at a cottage in the woods. jim reconizes it as mikami's house.
