Nornskar - Folka, The Bounteous
"The Kinar god of seasons and the harvest, Folka's youthful appearance belies awesome power. Pity, then, that her peers do not afford her the respect her station deserves."
Folka is one of the gods from a homebrew setting I made recently for a Nordic-themed future D&D campaign for my friends, that I decided to paint in a moment of inspiration. I took the idea of squirrels storing food in caches for the winter as the idea behind her role as a harvest god, which carried over to her design as a squirrel girl. While painting the throne was fun with the worn and etched wood, the collection of food was another matter, since I've not painted still lifes in a while. I tried to stick to produce that wasn't from the New World, although there were still some anachronistic elements like a green-skinned pumpkin and orange carrots.
