A meeting with a Cheetah (Photo 2)
An interesting way this zoo has set up its cheetah exhibit is that it has an observation building build into the corner of the enclosure. So there is a part where the glass makes a few sharp turns in the enclosure itself.
On this particular day I was photographing some of the cheetahs laying in the grass leaning on the glass wall next to me. Without me noticing, one of the cheetahs managed to sneak up on me and was looking at the camera curiously. Eventually I heard some ruffling aside me and looked right into the surprised eyes of the cheetah. Which then rapidly backed up half a meter.
The cheetah must have figured out the concept of photography. As he cheekily put his tail in his muzzle. Gave me a wink and then a look as if saying. If these fail. Nobody is going to believe you if these photos fail. And ran off. Leaving me surprised behind.
