When you feel lost, overwhelmed, and threatened you narrow your focus down to the few things you feel you can control and see everything else as a potential threat. It's a defense mechanism designed to fight the feeling of impending doom. Vix is clearly Fen's narrowed focus, and everything else is a possible threat. Fen needs to face her fear, face reality in a real way, not hide from it. Easier said than done.
Vix being pregnant probably compounds the matter. It's instinctual to try to protect one's young.
The drive to keep Vix and baby safe + that narrowed focus...
Poor Fren probably doesn't even realise how bad she has been. I predict a breakdown, tears, and apologies in the near future.

You know, I'm not entirely sire Misalia has the right to inject herself in Vix and Fen's relationship. The fact that Mis is the leader of the whole monastery sort of presents a conflict of interest and the opportunity for abuse of power. It's sort of like living in a commune, and having a relationship with someone else in that commune, but then David Koresh trying to inject themselves between you and your SO, and try to dictate or "heavily suggest" how the framework of your relationship should be defined.
That's fair. Fairish. It's fair to have a conversation. I may have read too much into it, we'll see how it goes, it's possible Mis won't overstep and just pragmatically elucidate the problem. It's also possible that in some off-screen dialog, Vix could have even been okay with Misalia intermediating, like a couples councilor.
