Navel Noms Anatomy Chart
I've had some anatomy ideas for bellybutton noms/endo lately since I'm on a weird anatomy kick! Hopefully my notes are legible, but basically it's a two-way system designed to clean & dry prey on their way out, & keep liquid stomach contents in. ^^
(P.S. If you wanna use this anatomy layout please go ahead! ^.^ Though I would appreciate a shoutout if you do use this exact system.)

The umbilical cord actually doesn't attach directly to the stomach! ^^ It isn't hollow either; it's filled with veins and arteries that completely bypass the digestive and respiratory systems, delivering nutrient and oxygen-rich blood from the placenta directly into the fetuses bloodstream. :3 It's a fascinating system!! Anatomy is so cool.
But, like, it is in the same general area is what I'm saying. It's similar. The stomach is near where the ribcage ends & the umbilical cord is connected more to the intestines because that's what's actually in our belly. Anatomy is weirdest when it's about babies (especially the skull).
You're very welcome! I feel like I need to look into anatomy more myself: considering things like muscular action and detail of feeding and prey catching adaptations makes vore all the more wonderful for me. Every detail goes a long way and nature provides an endless source of inspiration.
Yush, and as a patron of the bellybutton kinks, it's always super cool to have more ideas to mess with in writing or art like this. I'm really enjoying the detail for the walls of the initial innie there, still culminating down into the traditional navel base - just with a sphincter involved now!
