Mountainous Landscape by Alef

In a world of divine where even most mortals encounter them regularly, to be graced by one a half mile short of 10 was never ordinary.
Three pairs of eyes gazed down at the grey patch of town below, easily dwarfed by a breast the size of one of her three heads. The Cerberus Lycanrocs’ central Dusk head gave a small gentle smile and spoke, “I hope your little settlement is doing well clear down there.”
With a slightly different pitch, the Midday head continued, “The Goddess of Plenty Jasmine the Furret has spoken well of your community’s agricultural practices and innovations.”
Although Penumbra was of three heads, she was all of one mind. She merely spoke with different ones by as she felt inclined.
The Midnight head grinned its usual toothy and said in its deeper voice, “Your town may be smaller than any part of my body, but I assure that you don’t escape the notice of your Goddess of Order.”
Penumbra lazily swayed her paw feet above where she laid. Her toes splayed proudly at splitting clouds apart and feeling the dampness cooling her paws.
“Keep up the good work and feed a great many,” Dusk said, happily closing her eyes with a friendly smile.
Midnight boomed a laughed, “Sorry, I should probably get going. A little hard for you get your job done with 10 miles of farmland beneath my body.”
As Penumbra started to rise, Midday smiled larger, “Just never forget, you mortals may be tiny to us but we are here to watch and take care of you. You are never unnoticed by the gods.”
The Lycanroc’s upper body faded to a blue as atmospheric depth overtook her image from ground level. With a wave of her hand, the massive fracturing of the land and two deep craters where her chest was restored to the way it was.
Casually stepping over the country girl Furret who was barely as tall as a paw pad, Penumbra swayed her hips with a gentle bounce of her chest. Her paw feet parted clouds as she moved on. It was a 100 mile trek to her next destination, or about 16 steps.
A fairly early commission I got from Alef featuring my Penumbra the Cerberus Lycanroc! I think at this point, she did not even have an outfit properly designed yet. Such a lovely, cozy pose for the Big Boss~
I’m still impressed that Alef can do atmospheric depth so effortlessly in traditional art and has been doing it for so many years, even before I became invested in the color media.
He is a truly great artist!
