Totally agreed. He really needs Dédé and Dino at his side, as long as they're not too clever to question Gros Loup, but, on the other hand, are strong enough to help him to frighten the other kids. We could say Gros Loup is a "bad influence".
But, at least in the first season, we can see how Dédé and Dino could sometimes socialise with other kids; they could be ok without Gros Loup. Maybe, if someday they realise how Gros Loup use them, then Gros Loup could ends alone... and then, he'd see what kind of guy he really is (and then, he maybe could change for better).
