They named the daughter after the goddess... so "Selki-sis! Selki-sis!"
One of those days i will have to try and understand what the ancient egyptians smoked.
the original Selkisis the egyptian goddess did have animal features like the rest she, as the personification of "the mother" was...
the goddess of fertility, nature, animals, medicine, magic, and healing venomous stings and bites in Egyptian mythology, originally the deification of the scorpion.

i'm sure many people looked at that and said "Yup, that truly is the personification of love, sex and motherhood." 😂
*cue COLLECTIVELY smoking on a joint ... or something, i don't know*
Selkisis literally gets called "Isis Aphrodite" in the roman literature.
• want some chicken broth for what ails ya? I'm sure scorpions are the perfect idea to imagine cooking that.
• want to imagine somebody pregnant and lovingly caressing their belly? Scorpions!
• want to imagine the personification of somebody languidly waiting for ahero man? SCORPIONS!
• want to imagine a doctor that heals poisons? SCORPIONS!
Anyway, this character is fun.
