From the unfinished projects archive, a rough sketch idea for a medieval cookbook illustration.
The supposed backstory goes: in Medieval times, the Yuletide Wassail bowl, afloat with roasted apples, would be set aflame as it was being served. Once the flames had died, knights would bob for the apples in an attempt to impress the ladies. At least, one would hope the knights would wait until the flames had died ....
