Arcanine is one of my favorite Pokemon! I personally headcanon that both male and female have manes, but the males just cover more of the chest and torso, and they have more leg and cheek fluff too. I also sort of wanted to go with a Shisa based concept with this pair. I also thought it would be fun if they're like tigers and each have a stripe pattern specific to that individual.
