The Sea Witch's strong tentacles lifted the young woman off the ground, squeezing tight around her body as she squirmed. Ursula chuckled as she lifted Ariel to meet her eyes. "So, my dear, I see you've been enjoying your time in the human world, hmm?~"
It was true; Ursula had been spying on the Princess over the past three days, watching as she had explored Prince Eric's kingdom, gone on carriage rides, danced in the village square, and lived lavishly in the castle. The human world was everything Ariel had ever dreamed of, and everything she had ever wanted when she made her deal with the Sea Witch. But now her time was up, and while going for one final stroll on the sandy beach that rimmed the castle, she wandered a little too far from Eric and she found herself in Ursula's coils.
Ursula smiled devilishly. "Three days. That was how long you were given to win Prince charming's heart, wasn't it, Angelfish?~ Well, it seems like your time has run out, and you've failed to earn true love's kiss. Poor little princess," she said mockingly, her smile growing wider. "How unfortunate~"
Ariel stopped struggling and looked away sadly as Ursula's words sunk in. She had done everything she could, but the Sea Witch was right; she had failed at her only chance to get Eric to fall in love with her, her only chance to remain human with him forever. If only she had more time, if only she had her voice and could explain everything to him. She couldn't even call out to him for help. Her situation was utterly hopeless, and tears began to roll down her cheeks.
Ursula tutted and lifted Ariel's chin with a finger. "Now now, darling, did you really expect that you could find true love in just three days time? Oh, so naive~" She chuckled deeply. "But now, it's time for me to claim what's mine~"
Ariel felt her insides squirm in fear, but her eyes were drawn to the Sea Witch's necklace as it began to emit a soft golden glow. Her mind was suddenly overtaken by fog, and a deep calm replaced her misery, spreading throughout her body. A smile spread across her face as she relaxed in Ursula's grip, the tentacles feeling warm and soothing as they writhed over her skin as Ursula began to coil her up more fully.
Ursula chuckled again, the laugh slowly growing into a full cackle, the sound booming across the beach. She began to slither back towards the water, carrying Ariel with her into the shallow waves. "Yessss Princess, now you belong to me. Such a pretty little prize you are~"
