it seems every year at Christmas i try to create character designs for the characters from the Nutcracker, and yet every year I only make/update the design for the Rat King.
Here's my take on the Rat King from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker.
His design here is inspired by military coats of the late 1800s and early 1900s. I chose a military look due to how when he enters the ballet his music is very military sounding.
He wears a mink linked cloak, a sash like the Royal family wears during events.
Boots are inspired by riding boots.
The crown is based loosely on the crown of the Czar of Russia as seen here: https://europeanroyalhistory.files.wordpress.com/2020/06/70551a28-0bec-411e-99ff-547c2fd24fa2.jpeg?w=584
Design is © Tateshaw/Darthtater342
Character © Tchaikovsky
