I've spent quite a long time building breeds of dragons for my own lore, but never really had the opportunity to upload one given I had no visual. That changes today! Well...mostly. This is only the second breed example I've got and I've got plenty more coming.

This breed is often referred to as a light dragon, or more specifically (Breed Name Pending).

Traits: They are a breed of Pr'ryndrai that are infused with the very essence of light and what defines it. Their scales are crystalline in structure. Harder than the average dragon's scale by a fairly respectable margin, but prone to shattering and leaving much larger areas of hide unprotected and vulnerable if broken. These scales are naturally reflective, easily polished to a mirror-like gleam. These dragons are also commonly covered in translucent, crystal-like structures that often resemble natural gems that can be found in the ground. Some dragons believe that these bio-crystals are identical to their stone counterparts, but as this breed is quite rare there has not been many opportunities to study them in detail to confirm this(This breed can be known to be a mite vain as they frequently get attached to their glimmering appearance and never allow a piece to be broken off to be studied). They are known to be able to consume some rocks and other minerals, which can accelerate bio-crystal growth and enable faster scale regeneration.

There has been long rumor that there was a member of this breed that had a mutation that caused these crystals to take on properties similar to a type of sugar, but as this dragon has long been presumed dead due to an unknown incident, this remains but a rumor. (Most dragons doubt said member ever existed.)

The eyes of this breed are incredibly advanced, almost supernaturally so. Sharper than a hawk's, and even their other dragon kin, they can even be altered to other 'modes' by the dragon to be receptive to almost any wavelength of light, even those far beyond the visible spectrum of other beings.

Powers: As their appearance would suggest, these dragons are gifted at manipulating light and its properties. Creating burning beams, blinding flashes, or even rendering themselves and other objects completely invisible highlight only a few of their many talents. It is a rare mutation that they, ironically, can be born blind. Yet this is no curse. For this breed, hatching with eyes that are non-functional actually renders them extraordinarily gifted in their talents. Dragons like this are capable of sensing incoming light from any direction at all times, effectively gaining a 360 degree sphere of vision at all times from their very body itself. Their body is their eye. Pray that you do not make an enemy of one of these gifted, for there will be no hiding. If you can see so much as the tip of their tail, they have already seen you.

This beauty was created with the help of Unravel! The visions of my breeds has been boiling in my head for years, and the light breed are no exception. Unravel did a wonderful job creating a perfect example of a light dragon from my description! This dragon will have a character of her own, but she is also the 'poster child' of the light breed itself, of which she is, of course, a member of.
