Chuong: I have a few American friends with Mormon backgrounds. Some countries have not criminalized polygamy, yet the majority of people there no longer practice it. It's much easier to have one wife with a dozen children than four wives with three children each. Of course back in Vietnam, polygamy is illegal.
Jack: Polygamy used to be common in Bhutan, but mainly because of survival reasons at the time. Today, people there prefer monogamy because it's easier to manage life that way even though polygamy is not criminalized in Bhutan.
Zax: Polygamy used to be associated with cults. Today, the practice is nearly nonexistent in our world.
