Example of the societal structure of the Glex'ians, my homemade alien species for IZ shenanigans back in the day.
They worship an area they consider the Heart of The Swamp, that is the breeding grounds they send their eggs into, for them to hatch and grow until old enough to wander into a tribe to join.
The different tribes have arranged their settlements around this breeding ground to keep it safe from any threats from the outside. Visitors from the stars best respect this no-go zone, or even civilized Glex'ians will go full feral on them for disrespecting these holy grounds. Do not go there, as they fear your presence will pollute the purity of the breeding grounds.
Each Glex'ian young will eventual explore and wander outside the breeding grounds, and be claimed by whatever tribe territory they wander into. The tribes know they are all one, as this system ensures it is random whose eggs ends up brought up by which tribe, and is a way to keep the peace between them. They are all equal only different based on the systems and believes they go in teaching civilization to their young.
On neutral ground they come together to share their own knowledge and system when needed, typically watched over the Order tribe, that are the ones you go to, to settle disputes or pick at laws.
Knowledge typically work close with Order, to discuss the finer details in laws and history to settle any disagreements.
Nature and Mystic often work together as well, to ensure the heart and soul of their planet and its life giving bogs are considered during big decisions made by Order and Knowledge.
The neutral grounds are an area neither of them can claim, and sometimes a young from the breeding grounds slip through that area and into the wilderness. These become tribeless, markless or seen as representatives for Chaos. They are not summoned when the tribes meet, as they are considered uncivilized ferals. Which is not too far off. They typically mind their own business and void the tribes.
Enjoy!
