Another old piece from a contest challenge on dA years ago, I joined just as excuse to draw my Glex'ians some more.
This was for the winter wear round, of which Liv does not approve.
As noticed in other art, most Glex'ian has resting smile or smug face, mostly not a conscious thing but just the relaxed state of their face. They do have a big mouth with A LOT of teeth.
So speaks volume when you see a Glex'ian not smiling or worse, actively frowning.
As apex predators of their home planet, they are perfectly evolved predators.
Under most environments with few exceptions. Such as dry heat is terrible for their skin.
And cold. They do not like cold. Their planet do not have winter seasons, so experiencing winter on other planets they do not enjoy. Not even for their usual curiosity. The freezing numbs and dry their skin and their tentacles are used as feelers, so feeling around ice is very uncomfortable.
Putting on covers to avoid freezer burn ain't something they approve of either, cuz again - their tentacles are feelers and covering them makes it harder to move around and get a feel of the ground and surroundings.
If yer ship if infested with feral Glex'ians out to eat you, just land on an icy planet and open up every hatch to let in the cold and they'll huddle up in one corner to keep warm and you'll have them secured in one place.
