Indeed. Alf in concrete looks a bit younger than his friends from Big Wolf gang, and I'm sure he still can change to better. And, in fact, he shows (at least in the first season) some moments in where he's really nice/cute, like at the end of the episodes "Supermolases" and "Superwheels" (Big Wolf is a complete ass at the end of this one). Also, in other episodes like "Supermini" or "Superbignose", to name two examples, we can see that he can get along well with his classmates.

I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one who sees something good inside Alf. There are some episodes in the first season in where he shows that he's certaily better than his "friends", and he has a hidden interest in socialise with other children from the school.
