Gwen: Well all we can do is see what he says to you. Visit your altar tonight and see if you can reach him. If you do, begin your Offering and meet back with us with the new information. We don't know what's going to happen in the next 6 months, but recovering the Book of Thoth is top priority. Everyone should send out a small search party to gather as much Intel on the thief as possible. Be careful, everyone.
After the chat ended, Zabu sat in his chair and thought to himself for a moment. Some things just weren’t adding up. Egyptian Relics are given to us directly by the Gods, and are supposed to be guarded by top notch security. There are only six of them in the world, and they grant the chosen users with divine power. The Book of Thoth, given to Nero; it grants the user with divine knowledge in exchange for one year of said user’s life. The Sunstone of Ra, given to Zabu; it uses the body as a catalyst to conjure flames, so long as the sun is still in the sky. The Charm of Bastet, given to Gwen; it grants the user to cast wards to protect oneself, or someone else. The Scythe of Anubis, given to Babylon; it can be used to reap the soul of an entity, effectively sending their spirit to judgment in the Underworld. The Flask of Isis, given to Katalina; one sip from the flask will cure any affliction or wound. The Staff of Osiris, given to Reya; touching something with the staff can destroy or rebuild. Usually, only the chosen one can use the Relic, but this has never happened before. We don’t know who this assailant is, or what he knows about the Book. Maybe Nero’s security was too lax, or this person is smarter than we think. While Zabu thought these things over, an uproar could be heard building up from outside the palace. Zabu rushed to the door of his balcony and stepped outside, finding that a crowd was gathered around a terminal near the center of town. Wallace walked up to Zabu and peered over the balcony.
