While Kat's body is comprised of nanites, her mind is held within the 7 colored orbs, which each contain a processor. Each of the processors hold an individual part of Kat's personality, but function together as a singular system. But being separate as they are, they can sometimes get into disagreements. It's a bit more literal when your curiosity and restraint are pushing against each other if they're located on different computers that networked together.
