Picture I made like 4 years ago. Stayed up late for no reason and decided to digitize it.

Ulykke was a chosen disciple of the demonic demi-god Evig. Bestowed with the power to bend chance he found no more joy than when watching battles, shaping luck in his favor as each soldier's life became his own game of coin toss. Great warriors were slain as a result of simple imbalance and the very sky would pour down when perfect strategies foretold otherwise. With no care for mortals and only disdain for the haughty angels that guarded them Ulykke took advantage of dire circumstance and fueled the suffering of the downtrodden. Where sickness lurked he made sure it stayed, leering over villages whose prayers were to be passed by such misfortune and tearing away their hope as their altered luck brought forth disease far worse than before. He had loved the clash of metal and breaking of bone that resulted from the battles he manipulated, but had found a new pleasure in pulling the last shreds of resolve from the foolish mortals that begged so pitifully to the idols of the celestial plane.
Such horrors didn't go unnoticed and Ulykke was visited by Tynged, the angel of fate. Tynged, though not a celestial of combat spoke of the demons demise should he not return to the under-realm. Ulykke cursed the celestial with the darkest luck, swearing to him that his interference would haunt him till his end. The celestial, disappointed that the issue could not be resolved in a more peaceful manner foretold a new fate that wherever the demon fled he would be pursued by the most merciless fear, fear of death from death itself, that his own shadow may very well come to reap his tainted soul. Before departing Tynged reminded him that though he cursed him with black luck, his control over the destinies of the mortals he guided would far out-merit the now shortening existence the demon had, saying to him that "even with all the terror you'll cause before you perish, you will be forgotten, as much a memory as a flicker in the sky, and than you shall be devoured, body and soul by the fate you chose."
Ulykke was furious and fled to the peak of the mountaintops of Brakkharen. Looking out he saw the kingdoms sprawled out before him and with pure hatred cursed the land with misfortune, shouting to the skies that these lands would never be free of his power. Seeking the closest kingdom he turned from his fashion of believable misfortune and caused horrid floods where water was sparse, toppled solid cliff faces onto the villages below. Afraid to leave his roost he waited and prodded the land with his misdeeds, keeping from the ground as often as possible to avoid his own shadow till eventually he became too tired to stay in flight. Resigned to his fate he waited as mortals began their hunts up the mountain, tired he made little success at fending them off and eventually he was found by monks of the Golakar. The demon watched as his own shadow stretched before him and formed into cloaked beings. With weapons drawn the figures closed in on the demon and striking into him they tore the life from his body, pulling his soul into the shadow lands to walk an eternity of solitude.
