I've really got to play Library of Ruina and it's prequel some time; they've got one heck of a story between them, albeit a very bleak one. And they both have probably the cutest take on the big bad wolf I've ever seen (not counting his real appearance)! I love horror games, I love cute animals; the two really need to cross over more often. I know there's FNAF, but it'd be nice if there were more series with that combination. Anyways, I think this is the first picture of the Big and Will be Bad Wolf hypnotized. Hopefully, I've kept him in character.
A wolf stalked through a familiar forest, following a snake's scent. Snakes weren't his preferred prey; most that he'd seen were too small to be worth the effort. But the broken branches, the flattened grass along the trail... This snake was big. Big enough that if he gobbled it up, he might get full. And with no other prey to be seen tonight, there'd be no one else to get hurt...
The wolf shook his head; he needed to stop thinking like that. He was a big bad wolf, he'd crossed that line long ago; there was no point to caring what happened to other creatures. All he could do was follow his role, and sate his hunger. And right now, both demanded he find this snake.
The wolf's hunt took him to a long abandoned house. He remembered that place; the old woman he'd eaten, the little nightmare in red he'd maimed, the hunter who-
A sudden hiss snapped the wolf from what was about to be a very unpleasant memory, and the wolf whirled around, his prey nowhere to be seen. He growled; at this rate, he'd never catch the thing. Suddenly, inspiration hit; how did he not think of this sooner? He called out into the darkness; apologizing if he'd scared the snake, saying he really just needed some help. He'd had a toothache in the back of his mouth for the longest time, and with that long body and those big eyes he'd glimpsed, surely he could see what was going on.
The snake slithered out into the open, and he was just as big as the wolf hoped. The snake snickered as he agreed, he could see exactly what was going on, he'd be glad to help. He trusted the wolf, but he needed to know the wolf trusted him in return. And what better way to do that than look him in the eyes as he said it? The wolf agreed; it was rare enough to find someone willing to trust him, who cared if the snake seemed like a bit of an oddball? The wolf looked the snake in the eyes-
And was caught off guard as the snake's eyes burst into colorful swirls. The wolf could only stammer in confusion, trust and meal forgotten as he looked at the colors. The snake beckoned for him to come closer, and the wolf lurched forward, leaning as close as he could to the snake.
The colors were so much better up close; he could fully appreciate how every ring shined as it moved, filling his sight with their beautiful glow. It was like the light of the moon, but instead of filling him with a frenzied hunger, it filled him with warmth and calm. The spellbound wolf smiled, unaware of his pupils shrinking, or the flashes of color passing through his own eyes. The snake began to speak, and his voice was like music to the wolf's ears; telling him how clever he was for looking into the colors, for trusting him. After all, if what he did meant he got to see the colors he loved, how could his actions be anything but brilliant? The wolf beamed, tail wagging at the praise as the snake continued. Since the wolf trusted the snake who gave him these amazing colors, that meant he should listen more, shouldn't he? Listen to and obey his master.
The wolf nodded wildly, the spirals going strongly in his eyes as the snake's coils began to wrap around him. He would obey his master, bring him food (surely it couldn't be wrong if his master asked him to? He was so loving and wise), and no longer would he be a bad wolf. He would be a good wolf.
Good. The word had the wolf howling in delight, begging for more with his paws, and his master gave him more as the spirals flooded his vision. Never in his life had he felt this happy, this fulfilled, and he owed it all to this snake. The coils wrapped around his belly gave him an affectionate squeeze, and the wolf stiffened as a PING! rang out in his mind, breaking into a wide, goofy grin.
The snake, Kaa, snickered to himself as he gave the wolf a belly rub with his tail; however much work it took, it was always worth it to see an empty-headed cutie ready to serve. He'd always thought other animals made too much of a big deal about the Big Bad Wolf, and this was proof enough for him. They'd have fun in the morning; in the meantime, calling his new toy "the wolf" was getting a bit old. Once he settled down, Kaa would be giving him a new name:
