A good friend of mine delinelly ran a Starfinder campaign for me and some friends, which let us use our sonas as self-inserts as it was the first campaign and tabletop game for the most of us.
My character, who was playing the Operator class (imagine a Bard/Rogue hybrid) was also the party's pilot, but in our journey we had picked up a little NPC party member, a Avalet named Kemke.
He started off as a little side-character but ended up becoming a fully fledged crew member and a core support character for our adventure, easily a favorite NPC to most of us among all the other good ones that
had managed to cook up for us.
I had ellever-10 doodle up this amazing picture showing the average downtime the two had on the bridge of their ship, the "Edge Rider", named after the party's exploit of being the first ship to do a warp jump off the gravity well of a black hole. Here we see Leo and Kemke performing the usual maintenance and course correction while enjoying a little snack, the average quiet night aboard the ship.

It was a really fun setting, rather than going for the standard Starfinder setting, our DM created his own. Warp had to be done through slingshotting around gravity wells. Information wasn't instant and had to be sent via data couriers and there was a war going on between two major factions as a backdrop for our campaign, which was to solve the mystery of a long lost race.
We're about to start a new campaign soon, so there will likely be more sci-fi commissions coming out from that one too!
