Just a series of tests done to get a feel for a more mecha style, channeling assorted cyberpunk OVAs to try and get the right feel for what will be an important part of a planned episode of the miniseries... besides, if you're already channeling 80s and 90s sci-fi anime already, I think it's some kind of law that you have to include at least one mecha/powersuit-type showdown at least once. So that's what this is; the Jac-suit. Or at least some test designs for it. I'mma level with you, never actually drawn this kind of stuff before. Can't believe it's taken me this long, honestly. But I think as it goes, it's not bad.

I admit, it's nuts because before this, the closest thing to really sci-fi-looking armour I've done was the standard Underlings armour. I'm usually trying to draw semi-realistic stuff, so it's really weird getting to tinker and exaggerate. Honestly, it's all just a case of seeing what works and what to explore more.
So far, I'm thinking the big 'robo-fingers' in the middle one's a big yes, since that'll not only allow for better punches but also sort of a shield for the hands... the ringed tail-sleeve was a definite after I first tried them on the one on the far right, implying that even the muscles in the tail are enhanced in this suit... that's about all I got so far.
