The blood moon rises once again, the forest fell still as the world fell quiet, every nook and cranny and creature fell silent. Somewhere deep in the forest a beast groaned as it grew under the influence of this terrible night - the stretching and expanding of muscles and bones cracked and creaked as the vampire fox let out a mighty roar to the night sky, the birds scattering about, you couldn't help but hold your breath as your heart prodded you to run. A small crack of a branch and the beast stared right at you, his soulless red burning eyes peering into the very depth of your soul as he growled with a salivating maw. You tell your legs to move! MOVE! but your body lied still as the massive creature stood up, his masculine heavy form staring down at your like the insignificant insect you were to him. He took one step forward with massive, heavy paw and the overwhelming sound of the shockwave that came after was just what your body needed to set it in motion. Running faster and faster for your life, your throat burning like hot coals, your lungs bruising like heavy beatings, your heart thumping like the steady drums of war, you couldn't help but ignore all that as you fought to stay ahead of the beast, each step he took gaining towards you. You look back to confirm your fears as you run forward, forcing your body to run faster and faster before making the mistake of ignoring your surroundings...a trip and whirl later you wind up on the floor, your eyes blurred as your forehead made contact with the hard and brittle forest floor. The smell of blood exciting the beast.....looking upwards, realizing you have nowhere left to go, nowhere left to run, nowhere left to hide, the large fox laughed
