The catweasels domesticated very few animals, thanks to the whole natural fear of apex predators. When the humans finally ran into them, the hunters found the whole concept of farm animals faintly offensive, but they sure loved the kinds of pets they could take hunting and playing. And nothing tops the list better than an obedient, well-trained, affectionate dog. Generations after uplift, Enari Cobalt Lakh dam Kharva still celebrates the inherent goodness of pups throughout the galaxy, taking a lucky Earth pup on a frolic he'll never forget through one of her custom-sculpted jewel worlds. She's been really into this vaporwave thing lately.
The tail thing? Each one of those strands is independently prehensile and semi-autonomous, like octopus tentacles. Pretty handy for ruffling, roughhousing, and gosh, a whole lot more.

Enari has had a longstanding fascination with dogs, so I finally had to get a piece showing what she sees in them. Art by
jupiter_jyohti 2022, Cobalt and her species belong to me, with my dog filling in as a model. Because he's a good boy, yes he is.
