A pencil sketch of Dimetro, the engineer of the Dinosaucers from the 1980s cartoon of the same name. He's a Dimetrodon, a dinosaur-like reptile.
Now with digital color and shading. The background is a screenshot from the series. They had some really nice backgrounds.
Because I began drawing this on the train to Disneyland, I was originally going to draw him as a train engineer, pulling the cord to toot the whistle. However, I couldn't decide whether it should be a Dinosaucer-scale train or a human-scale train (which would require him to hunch over), so I decided to just have him holding up his trusty wrench instead.
