Another piece by the fantastic
eelmeal. This one of Marcel and his sister, Jeantournette came out really well, I think. It feel like it really conveys the 'Sibling Rivalry' dynamic they've got. Please go and check the artist out! They're excellent.

Nice. I still kinda feel bad that the sister has no dragon abilities. But I also feel that if she did, given how you've portrayed her character in the other stories you have, she would most definitely be showing off with them and acting arrogant and Superior to everyone else. And that will just put her marcel and their mother in danger👍
That's certainly possible! Then again, both of their personalities are intractable from their respective 'dragon-ness'. Marcel is neurotic and self-effacing, in part because he's not able to square his modern, egalitarian sensibilities with how he was 'expected' to act by Oliver, their father. He sees compassion and humility as an act of righteous rebellion. Jeantournette, on the other hand, was desperate for her father's attention, which was routinely denied. She adopted (what she saw as) his more authoritarian personality in an attempt to earn his affection, but still has feelings of deep insecurity over it. They both have specific kinds of damage that's inseparable from being/not being a dragon, and I think it's impossible to say how different things would be if the roles had been switched. Hopefully I'll get to explore that more in the future!
